With so much on the line in November, the R2V team has been hard at work designing our voter rideshare program to be the safest for voters and drivers.
We will adhere and exceed CDC guidelines for the November 2020 elections. Here is a summary of our requirements:
Drivers must wear new mask and sanitize both their hands and the rider hands. The drive is now contactless meaning the driver will only greet the passenger and check ID with 6 ft distancing. Windows will be left down to maximize airflow. After each ride the driver will sanitize the entire car and door handle with a bleach/ water mixture before they take another voter to the polls.
Riders must agree to wear new mask and sanitize their hands once inside the car and again after they return to the car after voting. They must ride alone and sit behind the passenger seat only. No front seat riding. If more than one person at an address needs a ride, they will need to plan to ride separately.
Our drivers have been trained for these times and are prepared to keep themselves and their rider safe. For more information or for questions you may call our office at 888-977-2250.
