It is Official – Beto for Governor 2022

When Rideshare2Vote was first established in 2018, one of our first partners was Beto O’Rourke’s Senatorial campaign. Although he fell to Ted Cruz by the narrowest of margins in that election, he has carried his hugely successful momentum into a massive citizen engagement program. Now it is time for Beto’s next step – GOVERNOR OF TEXAS.

Beto announced his candidacy for Governor of Texas with a short video where he calls out the divisive and extremist policies governing Texas today. Beto stated, “Together, we can push past the small and divisive politics that we see in Texas today — and get back to the big, bold vision that used to define Texas. A Texas big enough for all of us.”

The GOP stranglehold on Texas politics has dragged Texans through countless crises: loss of life & power in the winter storm of 2021, special legislative sessions producing horrendous voter suppression and abortion restriction bills, and now the Texas GOP is gerrymandering the state’s Congressional districts to further their own advantage by cracking and packing Democrats in the redistricting process.  WE NEED A DEMOCRATIC GOVERNOR IN TEXAS, AND BETO IS OUR CHOICE.  Voter engagement is key to retaking the Texas Governorship!

Beto is the best hope to oust the extremist GOP candidates in Texas that have been dictating voting & abortion policy. We must act now to engage Democratic voters across Texas! His charisma creates buzz, inspiring voters to turn out for other candidates from the top to the bottom of the ballot, riding Beto’s long coattails. He has been continually engaged in GOTV and voter support/turnout efforts for years in Texas – now it’s time for all of us to turn out for him.
